Concept House
Upside Down House
My first design is an upside down house where the second floor is actually the first one and the ground level is the second floor. I used Revit massing to design this house. I chose to design this house because I like the idea of turning a simple, classic house and making it more interesting and creative. I learned that Revit massing is great for creating angle structures like the roof but it was also complicated to add windows or doors. Next time I create a concept house I would use Inventor or Sketchup since it is easier and perfect for the job.

Modern House
For my second house I decided to make a "modern"/cubic house. It has three floors, where the "first" floor is the garage and lower level. The outside stairs lead you to the main floor and it helps so visitors don't go through the garage to get to the main floor. I decided to use Inventor to build this house since I learned that it would be easier to make a big houses with this program. I chose this design because I wanted to pick a house I visually liked plus a harder challenge while creating a modern house. Unlike other modern houses which are just cubes, this house has a lot of detail making it original and different from others. I got inspired by seeing a photo of the house from the internet but I had to adapt it to the program since in the picture you can see the topography is inclined and in the program is flat. Using inventor proved how easy and efficient this program can be for concept houses. Next time I will challenge myself further and create diagonal structures like the roof from the upside down house or curved roofs/ walls.
